Clinical Psychologist

About the role

The Clinical Psychologist will join a leading UK‑based medical reporting provider through Potentiam. The role involves conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, delivering evidence‑based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and preparing expert witness reports for legal proceedings.

Key responsibilities

• Perform psychological assessments for a variety of case types, including clinical negligence, serious injury, disability, criminal matters and mental capacity issues.
• Deliver CBT interventions to diverse client groups, ensuring therapeutic relationships built on trust and respect.
• Prepare impartial, well‑structured expert witness reports and present oral evidence in legal settings.
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.

Required profile

• Degree in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent recognised by the HPCSA).
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HPCSA).
• Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Formal training and proven experience in delivering CBT.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present evidence clearly.
