Clinical Project Manager – Oncology

About the role

The Clinical Project Manager will lead oncology clinical studies, working closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role combines therapeutic expertise with IQVIA’s suite of solutions to drive operational excellence and strategic leadership for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in bid defense presentations and lead presentations for smaller, regional studies.
• Develop integrated study management plans with the core project team.
• Execute assigned portions of clinical studies, optimizing speed, quality and cost while ensuring compliance with SOPs and policies.
• Set objectives for the core team, communicate expectations and assess performance.
• Collaborate with internal functional groups to support milestone achievement and resolve study issues.
• Monitor contract progress, proactively present project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage risks and contingencies, lead problem‑solving and corrective actions.
• Serve as primary or backup contact for the customer, maintaining strong relationships.
• Build and lead a cross‑functional project team, ensuring overall project delivery.
• Ensure financial success by forecasting, identifying revenue acceleration opportunities and managing scope changes.
• Capture lessons learned and implement best practices.
• Oversee vendor management when assigned as primary contact.

Required profile

• Proven experience in clinical project management, preferably in oncology or biotech.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive project delivery.
• Financial acumen to manage budgets and forecast revenue.
