Client Liaison Officer – Short Term Insurance

A prominent financial services provider is seeking a Client Liaison Officer specialised in short‑term insurance to join its dynamic team in Somerset West, Western Cape. The permanent position offers a market‑related salary together with a lucrative commission structure.

Required profile

• Minimum matric qualification; tertiary qualification advantageous.
• RE5 certification and NQF Level 4 qualification are essential.
• Relevant short‑term insurance product certifications as required by the FSCA.
• At least 7 years of experience in financial services or wealth management.
• Minimum 5 years of in‑depth knowledge of short‑term personal and commercial insurance lines.
• Proven track record in customer care, business development, networking and prospecting.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and meet target‑driven goals.
• Experience managing key accounts and a diverse client portfolio.
• Strong understanding of the Western Cape business landscape.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; professional presentation.
• Ability to build multi‑level relationships with various stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, tenacious and driven.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (reading, writing, speaking); Zulu and Xhosa advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office and experienced in report writing.
• Trustworthy, ethical with a strong sense of accountability.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
