About the role
The University of the Free State is seeking six dedicated Cleaners to maintain student residences and other accommodation facilities across its South and Bloemfontein campuses. This permanent role offers a stable work environment within the Housing and Residence Affairs unit.
Key responsibilities
- Clean residences, restrooms and other accommodation areas following the All‑Care colour‑coding system.
- Maintain and care for cleaning equipment provided by the university.
- Prepare rooms for conferences, including bed making and linen removal.
- Work overtime as required, especially during peak conference periods.
Required profile
- Proof of Grade 10 (NQF Level 2) or higher.
- Minimum two years’ experience using a colour‑code cleaning system.
- Previous cleaning experience in a tertiary residence environment.
- Willingness to work overtime and adhere to university regulations.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
