Civil / Structural Engineer

About the role

Our client is a well‑established multidisciplinary engineering and project solutions company operating across mining, metallurgical, water, infrastructure and industrial sectors. They are seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer to provide engineering inputs, design drawings and technical documentation for complex projects in South Africa and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Produce clear engineering inputs, assumptions, calculations and civil/structural drawings in line with project requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, supporting documentation and attend client/project meetings to provide technical input.
• Conduct site visits, contribute to metallurgical plant layouts and infrastructure designs, and assist in generating Bills of Materials and scopes of work.
• Collaborate with the broader engineering and project team to ensure accurate, practical solutions are delivered on schedule.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Civil / Structural Engineering (BTech, BEng or BSc Eng).
• Experience in civil/structural design, preferably within metallurgical plants, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel locally and internationally.
• Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (minimum requirement).
• Revit (beneficial).
• Prokon, Robot or similar engineering software.
• Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
