Civil Engineer – EPC Projects (Midrand)

About the role

The Civil Engineer will provide professional civil engineering expertise across planning, design, construction and commissioning phases of infrastructure and construction projects. The role ensures solutions meet statutory requirements, standards, project specifications, quality and safety expectations while supporting on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering support throughout all project phases.
• Prepare, review and approve civil designs, calculations, drawings and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with engineering codes, standards and regulations.
• Support site investigations, earthworks, roads, drainage, concrete and structural works.
• Review contractor submissions and monitor quality compliance.
• Assist with quantity take‑offs, cost estimates and value‑engineering initiatives.
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
• Prepare engineering reports, documentation and technical correspondence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) or eligible for registration.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in EPC, infrastructure or construction projects.
• Experience in earthworks, roads, drainage, concrete structures and site infrastructure.
• Knowledge of SANS codes, specifications and engineering standards.
• South African citizen or permanent resident.
