CIT Team Leader

About the role

The CIT Team Leader will support the Operations Manager in the Cash in Transit (CIT) division at our Witbank branch. You will ensure that all CIT operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with established procedures and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the CIT vehicle, including reporting faults, refuelling, operating security systems and maintaining cleanliness.
• Assist with daily operational requirements and manage the movement of CIT schedules during transit.
• Drive the CIT vehicle when required and implement accident prevention and reporting measures.
• Maintain contact with controllers, conduct security drills and promote security awareness.
• Take preventative actions on suspicious activity and liaise with clients, staff and management.
• Complete documentation and administration such as daily rosters and reports, and report any delays immediately.
• Support risk management and compliance activities.

• Clear criminal and disciplinary record.
• Honest, reliable and assertive with strong attention to detail.
• Good verbal communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Customer‑service orientation, quality‑assurance mindset and strong planning/organising abilities.
• Willingness to work irregular hours.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Operation of security systems used in CIT vehicles.
• Vehicle operation and basic maintenance for CIT vehicles.
• Firearm competency (minimum handgun qualification).
