About the role
Our client, a fast‑moving consumer goods manufacturer, is looking for a Chep Pallet Administrator to manage pallet movements and maintain the Chep account. The role is based in Durban and involves both internal warehouse coordination and external customer interaction.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor the movement of pallets internally and externally, ensuring accurate tracking.
- Update Chep details for customers in the database and reconcile daily pallet movements.
- Perform weekly and monthly pallet cost and count reconciliations to eliminate losses.
- Liaise regularly with customers on pallet issues, recoveries, and outstanding queries.
- Raise queries for incorrect charges and manage transfers, ensuring timely resolution.
- Conduct daily physical pallet reconciliations and bi‑weekly stock takes, including third‑party warehouses.
- Present bi‑weekly pallet reconciliation reports to the Group Supply Chain Manager and bimonthly outstanding totals to sales heads.
