Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) – Finance Lead for New Insurance Brokerage

About the role

Join an exciting venture in the automotive financial services sector. An established automotive group is launching its own insurance brokerage and needs a commercially‑minded Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to build the finance function from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and manage month‑end and year‑end reporting.
• Oversee general ledger integrity across multiple entities and manage cash flow and working capital.
• Develop, monitor and update budgets, financial forecasts and financial models to support business growth.
• Provide financial analysis, recommendations and insights to executive management.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax and statutory requirements while strengthening internal controls.
• Lead, mentor and continuously improve the finance team.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification, registered with SAICA.
• Minimum 1 year post‑articles experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Commercially minded with strong business acumen and analytical mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Financial reporting, budgeting and cash flow management.
• Financial modelling.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory compliance.
