Cellphone Sales Representative

About the role

Our client in Sandton is seeking an energetic Cellphone Sales Representative to drive retail sales of mobile phones, contracts, accessories and related services. You will work directly with customers, understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions while meeting store targets.

Key responsibilities

• Sell mobile phones, contracts, accessories, airtime, data bundles, fibre solutions and value‑added services.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate product and service packages.
• Generate new business through proactive lead generation and referrals.
• Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets each month.
• Cross‑sell and upsell to maximise revenue per customer.
• Stay updated on handset launches, promotions, pricing and network offerings.
• Provide exceptional customer service before, during and after the sale.
• Assist with handset setup, SIM activation, upgrades and basic troubleshooting.
• Process sales accurately using POS and CRM systems and maintain correct customer records.
• Support stock control, merchandising and inventory counts.

Required profile

• National Diploma (minimum requirement).
• 1–3 years proven experience in telecommunications or cellphone retail sales.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable transport to Sandton.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Computer literacy.
