Cashier – Sea Point

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our Sea Point store. You will be the front‑line representative, processing transactions quickly and accurately while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the cash float at the start of each shift.
• Operate the till, scanner and POS system efficiently during checkout.
• Receive and process all forms of payment, including cash, card and refunds.
• Prevent waste, shrinkage and damage by following store procedures.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and safe working environment.
• Follow security and safety protocols at all times.
• Clean and maintain equipment according to standards.
• Assist customers, answer queries courteously and resolve complaints.
• Balance the till at the end of the shift and report any discrepancies.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 10 education (Grade 12 advantageous).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Strong numeracy and time‑management skills.
• Customer‑oriented attitude with ethical behaviour.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts.

Required skills

• POS system operation.
• Cash handling.
