About the role
SBV Services is offering a 12‑month Cash Processor contract combined with a National Certificate in Banking learnership at its Newcastle centre. Learners will handle cash deposits, sort and count notes and coins, and reconcile daily transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Receive deposits and record them on SBV's systems
- Prepare and sort bank notes for counting
- Check rejected notes for counterfeit or damage
- Process coin deposits and payroll/change orders
- Balance and reconcile cash at the end of each day
- Report shortages, surpluses and equipment faults to the Team Controller
Required profile
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
- Aged 18 to 29
- Must not have previously completed the National Certificate: Banking
- Accuracy and attention to detail when handling cash
- South African citizen
