Cash & Carry Supervisor

About the role

Freddy Hirsch is seeking a motivated Cash & Carry Supervisor for its Cape Town branch. Reporting to the Regional Logistics Manager, you will lead daily operations, ensure accurate stock control, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast‑moving FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all Cash & Carry activities to maintain smooth branch operations.
• Manage inventory control, stock rotation (FIFO), replenishment, receiving, and inter‑branch transfers.
• Conduct weekly cycle counts, quarterly stock takes, and monitor stock ageing and write‑offs.
• Process sales, quotations, pricing, discounts, credit notes and handle customer collections accurately.
• Administer petty cash, banking, and loyalty programme tasks.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly KPI, stock and compliance reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety standards and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Support continuous operational improvements and perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification; further study in Warehousing, Supply Chain, Logistics or Stock Control is advantageous.
• 2–3 years experience in a warehouse, retail, FMCG or Cash & Carry setting.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control and warehouse operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale systems, invoicing and cash handling.
