Carrier Sales Representative

About the role

As a Carrier Sales Representative at RXO, you will source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move freight across North America in a timely and cost‑effective manner.

Key responsibilities

• Cultivate strong carrier relationships while negotiating rates and securing capacity.
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure high‑quality freight movement.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments, considering weather, traffic, mileage and service requirements.
• Follow established procedures for HVS and HRC loads to protect shipment integrity and the RXO brand.
• Accurately update information in company operating systems and track billing to ensure carrier charges are correct.
• Conduct research in databases for potential leads and make cold calls to prospects.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of sales experience.
• 1 year of transportation experience.
• 2 years of sales or customer‑service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience (preferred).
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion while working independently within authorized limits.
