Card Sales Representative – KZN

About the role

The Card Sales Representative for KwaZulu‑Natal (KZN) will drive sales of on‑road payment solutions across TotalEnergies retail, commercial and truck‑stop sites. Reporting to the regional sales manager, the role focuses on expanding the customer base, maintaining profitable margins and ensuring high levels of service for card clients, dealers and financial partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow sales volumes for on‑road solutions, proactively prospecting new customers through direct selling and cold calling.
• Manage relationships with government, provincial and private customers, own tender responses and ensure contract compliance.
• Record all customer interactions, claims and incidents in the Salsa CRM system and resolve claims within a 48‑hour SLA.
• Analyse the customer portfolio to identify profitability opportunities and produce monthly performance reports for management.
• Execute risk‑management action plans, monitor guarantees, overdue invoices and maintain Days Sales Outstanding at the target of 31 days.
• Support customers and sales staff with training on the extranet website and on‑road EFT solutions.
• Contribute to the regional marketing plan, especially fleet‑related activities, based on market research.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and promote a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales within a highly competitive, price‑sensitive market.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to service level agreements.
• Analytical ability to interpret portfolio data and drive profitability.
• Understanding of risk and credit management principles.

Required skills

• Use of CRM systems – specifically Salsa.
• Knowledge of electronic funds transfer (EFT) solutions.
• Proficiency in preparing business reports and presentations.
