Buyer Internship – Johannesburg

About the role

Join TFG as a Buyer Intern and gain hands‑on experience in the full buying cycle within a fast‑moving retail environment. You will support the buying team with administrative tasks, research emerging trends, and contribute to product selection decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with buying administration, including order creation, amendments, and sample management.
• Liaise with Marketing for product photoshoots.
• Conduct research on emerging styles and market trends.
• Support the buying team in selecting and curating future product ranges.
• Analyse sales data and customer feedback to inform buying decisions.
• Share insights and ideas to enhance the product range.
• Collaborate with the Planning team to contribute to product selections.

Required profile

• Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion, Retail Business Management, or a related field.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career as a retail buyer.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to leverage new technology to improve productivity and problem‑solving.
