Business System Analyst - Capital Markets (Front Office)

About the role

Andile is looking for a Business System Analyst (Front Office) with Capital Markets experience, based in Rosebank. The role contributes Capital Markets knowledge and applies business analysis to design, develop and implement functional and technical system solutions for client challenges. It sits within the Calypso Business Unit and focuses on both client functional and technical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Clarify client business and system requirements and document them so that client challenges can be solved.
• Deliver business analysis deliverables on projects and contribute business context to functional and technical solutions in delivery teams.
• Ensure implemented solutions meet the original client requirements with the required quality and efficiency.
• Support Andile's growth in system analysis competence through continuous learning and development.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Financial Mathematics or Actuarial Science, or a similar degree with a Mathematics, Financial and B.Eng. background.
• 3+ years of experience in Capital/Financial Markets; CIB experience is highly beneficial.
• Understanding of Global Markets and Treasury, and familiarity with asset classes such as FX, FI and MM, with experience in at least two others.
• Knowledge of sales and proprietary desks within Treasury, including credit and liquidity risk.
• Professional certification or post-graduate degree is advantageous.

• Business analysis: gathering client requirements and mapping them to business solutions.
• Position management, liquidation and market data monitoring.
• Scoping Front Office operations and mapping business needs to system capabilities.
• Constructing portfolio hierarchies within the system and pricing knowledge across asset classes.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to the team and stakeholders, and to bridge Calypso and Global Market concepts.
