Business Manager – Queenstown, Eastern Cape

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for a Business Manager to lead its Queenstown branch in the Eastern Cape. The role will guide a team of experienced financial advisors, ensuring they meet sales targets and operate profitably. You will also sit on the Management Committee, influencing regional strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure consistent application of Old Mutual’s sales processes across the advisor team.
• Oversee business operations, including policy conservation, financing arrangements, administrative efficiency and client care.
• Engage with advisors, providing guidance, coaching and performance development.
• Build and sustain a high‑performing, motivated team.
• Assist in recruiting established advisors and graduate associates to maintain a strong pipeline.
• Develop and execute a local marketing plan to support business growth and advisor activities.

Required profile

• Matriculation (or equivalent) and FAIS compliance with a Financial Planning certificate or 120 NQF Level 5 credits; successful RE 5 Level 1 exam.
• Prior experience in a sales managerial role; at least 24 months as a Financial Advisor is preferred.
• Accreditation on all PFA‑distributed products and any optional products.
