Business Head – Johannesburg

About the role

The Business Head will lead the overall direction, profitability and growth of the organisation in Johannesburg. Reporting to senior executives, the role is accountable for operational efficiency, financial performance, sales results and people development while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business strategies aligned with corporate objectives and identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring all departments meet performance standards and resources are managed effectively.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor revenue, costs and profitability, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Drive sales performance, nurture key customer relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Lead, mentor and develop management teams, oversee workforce planning and promote a positive culture.
• Ensure compliance with labour, health and safety legislation and manage business risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Commerce, Operations Management or related field; MBA advantageous.
• 8‑10 years of management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, with proven budget, operations and people management.
