Business Development – Wireless Infrastructure (Remote, Johannesburg)

About the role

SBA Communications, a global leader in wireless infrastructure, is seeking a Business Development professional to expand carrier relationships and generate revenue from its tower portfolio across South Africa. The role is fully remote with a preference for candidates based in Johannesburg.

Key responsibilities

• Identify wireless carrier contacts and business opportunities through research, calls, meetings, and presentations.
• Generate sales and marketing of SBA sites to carriers and local zoning jurisdictions within the territory.
• Gather carrier and market information for pricing, build‑out analysis and feasibility of lease‑up on current inventory and new tower locations.
• Process and track lease applications through internal approval.
• Coordinate with the local SBA office and corporate to deliver site information packages and maintain high customer service.
• Sell installation services to new tenants where not mandated in the Antenna Site Agreement.
• Administer accounts, manage tenant relationships, support marketing and sales activities.
• Identify tenant equipment variances and work with tenants to resolve issues promptly.
• Keep customer information tracker updated.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years of industry and outside sales or business development experience, with basic knowledge of wireless site development, construction, and co‑location.
• Fluency in English.
