Business Development Specialist – Western Cape

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Specialist to drive growth in the Western Cape region. The role sits within our Sales team and focuses on identifying, securing and expanding business opportunities while actively promoting Solevo’s chemical and agricultural solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new client relationships and identify potential sales areas.
• Contact prospective clients, arrange meetings and establish business relationships.
• Expand sales territories using various methods and improve overall sales performance.
• Meet budget targets, including sales numbers and profit goals.
• Maintain deep knowledge of company products, services, market position and competition.
• Build and sustain professional relationships with key personnel in existing and new accounts.
• Negotiate and close agreements with new customers while ensuring profitability.
• Maintain and grow the existing client base.
• Attend to on‑site client requirements throughout the Western Cape.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business with experience in the water‑treatment industry.
• Tenacious, enthusiastic attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent relationship‑building, presentation and communication skills.
• Self‑disciplined and able to travel extensively within the Western Cape.
• Knowledge of CRM software.
• Ability to tackle complex problems and adapt to fast‑paced environments.
• Leadership potential to mentor junior consultants.
• Proven track record of effective remote teamwork and collaboration.
