Business Development Specialist

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will lead commercial initiatives across our airline partner network, focusing on revenue‑sharing agreements and API‑based distribution channels. You will act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of key products.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and drive commercial elements of contracts and products within the partner landscape.
• Oversee API integration, ensuring connectivity, functionality, and ongoing optimisation.
• Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships, focusing on pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Collaborate with IT, Marketing, Sales and other internal departments to support partnership integration.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly business development, sales and commercial performance reports.
• Analyse commercial and operational data to spot trends, risks and growth opportunities.
• Maintain management dashboards, presentations and performance summaries for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent and a degree in B.Com, Business Science, B.Eng or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in business development, commercial management or a related field.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and project‑management abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
