Business Development Representative – Sales

About the role

Dreaming big is in our DNA. As a Business Development Representative you will drive growth in volume and market share for South African Breweries by delivering market‑driven, differentiated service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for assigned areas.
• Manage and supervise distributors in the assigned sector, including orders, payments and re‑distribution.
• Ensure IB products are stocked in a complete range at customer and retail outlets.
• Maintain merchandising visibility of brands through POS displays and chillers.
• Place chillers correctly in high‑performing outlets and ensure exclusive use for IBPLC products.
• Monitor recommended product pricing at sales outlets.
• Closely track competitor actions.

Required profile

• 3‑year degree qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales, marketing or FMCG.
• Valid unendorsed Code 8 driver’s licence.
• Basic computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office.
• Local area knowledge.
• Excellent administration skills.
• Strong relationship‑management and customer‑service abilities.
• Effective negotiation, problem‑solving and attention to detail.
• Highly professional attitude.
