Business Development Manager – Sales & Logistics

About the role

Unique Personnel is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business and revenue growth for its courier services division in Durban. The role focuses on prospecting, qualifying leads and closing deals while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities, preparing tenders, reports and presentations.
• Approve rates for different customer types and generate qualified leads in line with company requirements.
• Analyse client needs, propose appropriate courier solutions and close sales.
• Ensure continuous follow‑up by the sales team, manage client relationships and provide after‑sales service.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, submit weekly call reports and keep the sales pipeline up to date.
• Handle internal administrative processes, attend meetings and ensure commission sheets are signed off.
• Stay informed on product knowledge, competition and market trends, and communicate updates to the sales team.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent senior certification.
• Minimum of 5 years sales experience, preferably in the logistics or courier industry.
• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
