Business Development Executive – Mining & Logistics

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to expand our presence in the mining logistics sector. Based in Johannesburg, you will identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and deliver tailored logistics solutions across Southern Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies targeting new mining logistics clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships, understanding client logistics needs and offering customized solutions.
• Conduct market research to spot opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets by securing profitable contracts.
• Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to deliver competitive client solutions.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to support strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in mining logistics with a proven track record.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of logistics challenges in the Southern Africa market.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, results‑oriented with a drive to exceed targets.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
