Business Development Executive – Commercial Heavy Vehicles

About the role

Miway is seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to expand its Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) portfolio. You will build and nurture relationships with commercial vehicle dealerships and other referral partners, driving growth for the company’s commercial insurance offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and acquire new commercial vehicle dealerships.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing support and service to your dealership portfolio.
• Train dealerships on MiWay products, processes and compliance.
• Monitor market developments in commercial insurance and adapt strategies.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the HCV sector.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in the Heavy Commercial Vehicle industry.
• At least 5 years of external, face‑to‑face sales experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience in lead generation or managing referral partner relationships.
• Proven ability to handle customers at all organisational levels.
• Strong administrative skills and a track record of high performance.
• Results‑oriented, self‑disciplined and able to work under pressure independently.
• Own reliable transportation and a valid South African driver’s licence.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a solution‑oriented approach.
