Business Development & Client Relationship Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Business Development & Client Relationship Manager to join our well‑established financial services and collections organisation in Randburg, Johannesburg. The role blends prospecting, tender coordination and client service to drive growth and ensure a high‑quality client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities aligned with growth targets.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, tenders and strategic partnerships.
• Manage the end‑to‑end tender and proposal process, ensuring compliance and timely submission.
• Prepare high‑quality proposals, bid responses, capability statements and presentations.
• Act as primary point of contact for client communications, service reviews and escalations.
• Facilitate client onboarding, ensure operational readiness and monitor service delivery standards.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) required; Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or related field advantageous.
• 3‑5 years experience in business development, client relationship or account management within collections or financial services.
• Proven experience preparing tender submissions, RFPs, RFQs and client presentations.
• Understanding of debt collection legislation and compliance requirements.
