Bridge Construction Manager – Nigeria

About the role

Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking an experienced Bridge Construction Manager to lead bridge construction and rehabilitation projects across Nigeria. The role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle, from site mobilization and design review to final handover, ensuring world‑class engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of various bridge types (RCC, pre‑stressed concrete, steel girder).
• Direct technical operations such as piling, substructure works, deck casting and structural rehabilitation.
• Control project schedules, high‑value budgets and resource allocation to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with government agencies, consultants and subcontractors to navigate local regulations.
• Enforce international HSE standards and Quality Assurance protocols.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of bridge construction and rehabilitation experience.
• At least 5 years in a project‑management leadership role.
• B.Eng or M.Eng in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience on large highway spans and pedestrian overpasses.
• Willingness to relocate and work onsite in Nigeria.
