About the role

We’re seeking a talented and disciplined Breakfast Head Chef to lead the breakfast service at a group of restaurants in Parkhurst and Bryanston, Johannesburg. This role offers the chance to manage a high‑volume, premium breakfast operation, ensuring consistency, creativity, and guest satisfaction across diverse dining concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead breakfast kitchen operations
• Develop and execute innovative breakfast menus aligned with brand standards
• Oversee food costing, procurement, and supplier relationships with a focus on sustainability and profitability
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and operational standards
• Mentor and train breakfast chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of discipline and creativity
• Collaborate with management to align breakfast operations with overall business goals

Required profile

• Culinary diploma or equivalent professional certification
• 4‑6+ years’ experience in premium casual or fine‑dining kitchens
• Proven expertise in breakfast service, menu development, and high‑volume execution
• 2+ years in a leadership role, managing breakfast brigades and junior chefs
• Strong knowledge of cost control, supplier coordination, and operational discipline
• Ability to balance creativity with consistency in a fast‑paced environment

What we offer

• Salary CTC R20,000 – R25,000 (no additional benefits)
