Brand Manager – Brushes (Southern & East Africa)

About the role

Tangle Teezer is seeking a Brand Manager to lead the brushes portfolio across Southern and East Africa. You will partner closely with sales, agencies and distributors to drive growth, launch new products and ensure the brand’s marketing strategy aligns with the company’s vision.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to provide operational tools and support.
• Organise status meetings with agencies to keep promotions on schedule and within budget.
• Lead monthly marketing meetings to align on point‑of‑sale initiatives.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that meets sales objectives.
• Compile and launch marketing campaigns based on approved agency pitches.
• Research market viability for new product concepts and decide on launches.
• Oversee new product packaging development when required.
• Manage distributor marketing efforts through the CEA Area Business Manager.
• Monitor IRI reports to track market performance.
• Maintain media relations and secure PR coverage for innovations and community initiatives.
• Manage advertising agencies and external suppliers to ensure high performance.
• Control marketing spend to stay within budget while delivering timely initiatives.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with a “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” mindset.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in consumer‑goods marketing, preferably in hair‑care or personal‑care.
• Deep understanding of the Southern and East African marketplace.
• Proven ability to manage agencies, budgets and cross‑functional teams.
