Brand and Marketing Manager – South Africa

About the role

Interwaste, a leading waste management solutions provider in Southern Africa, is looking for a seasoned Brand and Marketing Manager to lead its marketing, brand and communication activities across South Africa and selected African markets. The role will coordinate internal teams and external agencies to deliver cohesive, on‑brand campaigns that support the company’s sustainability and growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the annual marketing plan and campaign calendar.
• Coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables and stakeholder inputs, ensuring clear scoping, briefing and tracking from start to finish.
• Align messaging across Sales, Operations, HR, SHEQ, Technical and Sustainability teams.
• Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for PR, digital and design agencies, developing briefs and managing feedback loops.
• Ensure all outputs meet Interwaste’s brand standards and business requirements.
• Maintain brand governance by reviewing marketing outputs, distributing approved templates and supporting internal teams in applying brand guidelines.
• Coordinate the creation of marketing collateral such as brochures, presentations, internal communications and sales tools.
• Support event planning and brand activation for expos, site visits and other internal or external events.
• Work with the digital agency to manage website updates, campaign content and social media coordination.
• Track marketing spend across campaigns, suppliers and activities.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
