Branch Manager – Retail Banking (Mafikeng)

About the role

The Branch Manager will lead the Sanlam Retail Mass branch in Mafikeng, driving customer acquisition and revenue growth. You will develop and execute the branch strategy, ensuring an optimal client experience and strong service culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the execution of the retail branch strategy to grow the customer base and revenue.
• Guide, integrate, and standardise the activities of Sales Consultants in line with strategic goals.
• Maintain day‑to‑day operations, including compliance, quality, and risk management.
• Lead people practices for direct reports in partnership with HR (talent, performance, development, grievances, leave, capacity).
• Plan and report monthly on sales and service activities, and engage key internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5, plus 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Minimum five years recent industry experience, including at least three years in a leadership capacity.
• Service management experience, insurance sales experience, and credit/lending experience.
