Branch Manager - Potchefstroom

About the role

Sanlam Developing Markets is seeking a Branch Manager to lead its Potchefstroom retail branch. You will be responsible for growing the customer base, driving revenue, and ensuring an excellent client experience in line with the company’s retail strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the branch’s sales and service strategy to achieve growth targets.
• Lead, coach and standardise the activities of Sales Consultants, fostering a service‑delivery culture.
• Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations, compliance, risk management and people practices in collaboration with HR.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service performance, and engage key internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5, plus 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role, with proven service‑management and insurance sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, Sanlam insurance products and business acumen.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving abilities.
