Branch Manager – Metropolitan Centre (Thohoyandou)

About the role

Sanlam Developing Markets is seeking a Branch Manager for its Metropolitan Centre in Thohoyandou. You will lead the branch to grow its customer base and revenue, execute the retail branch strategy, and ensure an optimal client experience through a strong service delivery culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the branch’s sales and service strategy, driving revenue growth.
• Guide, integrate and standardise activities of Sales Consultants to align with strategic objectives.
• Maintain day‑to‑day operations, including compliance, risk management and quality assurance.
• Oversee people practices for direct reports – talent management, performance, development, grievances and capacity planning.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service performance, and engage key internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5 qualifications.
• 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Minimum five years of industry experience, including at least three years in a leadership capacity.
• Service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending experience.
• Current Class of Business accreditation and continuous professional development compliance.

Required skills

• Sales tactics and approaches, stakeholder engagement and customer service.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and Sanlam insurance products.
• People‑management practices, business acumen and data analytics (including visualisation).
• Project management, critical thinking, problem‑solving and strong written/verb verbal communication.
