Branch Manager (Dwarsloop)

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for a Branch Manager for its OMF branch in Dwarsloop, Bushbuckridge. The manager leads a small to medium-sized team of advisors and develops, maintains and leverages relationships with prospective and existing clients to stimulate and manage demand for financial products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate the local action plan, link it to the function's strategy and the organisation's mission and vision, and motivate the team to achieve local business goals.
• Develop and run a relationship management plan for existing accounts, collect customer feedback and summarise it with recommendations for change.
• Identify complex standard products and services that meet customer needs, present them clearly and refer to senior colleagues where concessions are needed.
• Generate sales opportunities through referrals, existing customers and trade shows and conferences.
• Monitor personal and team performance, allocate work, review completion and take corrective action.
• Provide operational support and sometimes act as first-line supervisor of a transactional operations area.
• Deliver specialised support for key accounts, respond to complex inquiries and act as first point of contact for customer queries and complaints.
• Develop a customer contact plan for product launches and sales campaigns, and track budgets and report variances.
• Coach team members to develop their skills.

Required profile

• NQF Level 4, Grade 12, school leaving certificate, national or occupational certificate or equivalent (required).
• Appointment made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa.
