Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Letlhabile)

About the role

Join Sanlam Retail Mass as a Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor and provide sound financial advice while delivering a high level of client service in a branch environment. You will promote SRM products, create cross‑selling opportunities and help increase market share.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored financial advice based on customers' needs, goals and financial means.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of SRM product ranges and communicate new or changed products to clients.
• Validate client details, submit new business through the correct channels and conduct due‑diligence to flag risks.
• Manage daily appointments, walk‑in clients and prioritize workload to maximise sales opportunities.
• Service existing client profiles, send payment reminders, follow up queries and ensure persistency of payments.
• Handle policy cancellations, propose alternative options and resolve client issues or escalate when necessary.
• Adhere to compliance and quality standards, keep accurate records of advice and log activities as required.
• Report daily activities, collate data for weekly/monthly reporting and support ad‑hoc tasks from the Retail Branch Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or marketing, preferably within an insurance branch.
• Matric (Grade 12) qualification; RE5 and FAIS compliance are advantageous.
• Ability to understand customer needs, build relationships and manage client portfolios.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning and compliance.
