Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor

About the role

As a Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor you will represent Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) in the Wolmaranstad branch, delivering tailored financial advice and promoting a range of affordable insurance and savings products to individuals and families.

Key responsibilities

• Promote SRM product portfolio and increase market share through proactive client outreach and cross‑selling.
• Provide sound financial advice, assess client needs, and recommend appropriate products.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product changes and communicate these to clients.
• Validate client details, submit new business, and conduct due‑diligence to identify risks.
• Manage client appointments, walk‑ins, and follow‑up activities to maximise sales opportunities.
• Service existing client profiles, send payment reminders, and handle policy cancellations or adjustments.
• Monitor and act on NTU (Not Taken Up) cases, ensuring corrective actions and persistency of payments.
• Escalate complex queries through the established framework and provide continuous feedback to clients.

Required profile

• Strong sales orientation with a proven ability to meet targets.
• In‑depth understanding of SRM product ranges and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent client‑focused communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage daily priorities, handle walk‑in traffic, and maintain accurate records.
• Proactive approach to risk identification and client support.
