Bookkeeper – Mosselbay

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and supplier statements.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with payroll processing and statutory submissions.
• Maintain and organize financial records for auditing and reporting.
• Support external auditors and accountants as required.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required profile

• Matric with Accounting; further accounting qualification is an advantage.
• Experience up to trial balance level, preferably in an accounting practice.
• Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills in Afrikaans and English.

Required skills

• Proficient in Excel, PaySpace, Outlook, and Xero/Sage.
• Experience checking and reconciling bank statements and accounts.
