About the role
The Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development is recruiting three Boiler Assistants for the Dunswart Laundry facility. The position is advertised with a reference number (REFS/056904) and carries an annual salary of R144,024 plus benefits. Applications close on 9 November 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with recording boiler readings
- Trim coal and remove ash
- Clean boilers, boiler house, coal bunker and surrounding areas
- Clean the brine tank and water filter and report hazards
Required profile
- Grade 10 (Standard 8)
- No experience required
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and occupational health and safety
- Interpersonal skills and attention to detail
