BIM Modeller - Structures, Data Center

About the role

AECOM is recruiting a BIM Modeller for structures in a data centre project in Cape Town. The role involves producing Revit models and drawings under direct supervision, ensuring they meet client requirements, industry standards and the project BIM Execution Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Model and produce drawings with direct supervision, using Revit or Bentley OpenBuildings / MicroStation
• Check the completeness and accuracy of your work before review by the Senior Engineer or designated senior team member
• Follow the coordination strategy and reporting using Navisworks and other coordination software, supporting the team through delivery
• Assist with managing incoming and outgoing model and drawing information
• Manage projects in BIM360 and organise your own work to meet deadlines
• Keep up to date with the latest software and techniques to increase productivity

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of relevant Revit modelling experience
• BIM qualification, diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Technical knowledge of structures practice and of concrete, steelwork and reinforcement 3D modelling
• Knowledge of industry BIM standards, processes and general approaches
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure, strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills, good planning and organisational skills, and commercial awareness
