BIM Civil & Structural Modeller/Detailer (Full‑time)

About the role

We are an electrical engineering consulting company seeking a BIM Civil and Structural Modeller/Detailer to work across multiple MEP projects. The role involves creating accurate 3D Revit models for electrical building services and producing detailed construction documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D Revit models covering small power, cable trays, lighting, distribution boards, UPS, solar PV and lightning protection.
• Generate plans, single‑line diagrams, schematics, sections, detail call‑outs and schedules for tender, construction and record purposes.
• Link architectural, structural and mechanical models into the electrical workspace and run clash checks using Navisworks or BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects and MEP consultants to resolve spatial conflicts before construction.
• Ensure drawings comply with South African National Standards (e.g., SANS 10142‑1), local Cape Town bylaws and internal drafting standards.
• Manage revision tables, issue sheets and document control within a Common Data Environment such as Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Required profile

• Matric Certificate and a Draughting qualification (certificate level or higher).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience on electrical projects (MEP experience also considered).
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience using Revit for MEP modelling.
• Own reliable transport.
