Billing and Collections Specialist

About the role

Envoy Global, a provider of technology and services for the global immigration space, is looking for a detail-oriented Billing and Collections Specialist to join its IBN team in Cape Town. Reporting to the Supervisor of Accounts Receivable, the role sits in the office at Church St, Gardens and involves close collaboration across several departments to support the company's financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with a growing list of clients, including consolidating and distributing monthly invoices on time and following up on overdue balances
• Coordinate with internal teams on billing preparation, payment records and reconciliations
• Build relationships with external and internal counterparts to understand customers' billing and payment experiences
• Use knowledge of customer needs, products and systems to spot and address causes of non-payment
• Troubleshoot billing and payment issues, find their root cause and work with Finance, Customer Experience and Account Management to resolve them quickly
• Work with those same teams to surface operational feedback and fix process gaps

Required profile

• Fluent English
• 1-3 years of experience in customer-facing billing and collections, accounts receivable/payable or finance operations
• Ability to learn new technology quickly and to explain complex topics simply
• Proactive problem solving and calmness under pressure

Required skills

• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience in reporting
