Bar Server

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and attentive Bar Server to deliver exceptional beverage service in our bars, cocktail lounges and special events. The role involves engaging with guests, recommending drinks and ensuring a high level of satisfaction throughout their visit. You will work closely with the bar team to maintain a clean and organized service area.

Key responsibilities

• Suggest, prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks to guests seated at tables or standing at the bar.
• Provide courteous and prompt service, addressing guest requests or concerns professionally.
• Use knowledge of the beverage menu to make recommendations and upsell premium drinks, helping to maximise revenue.
• Deliver consistent service during special events, adhering to event‑specific requirements.
• Follow health, safety and legal regulations, including checking identification to verify legal drinking age.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and restock supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of drinks.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• South African passport.
• At least 2 years of experience in beverage service.
