Banqueting Waiter

About the role

The Capital Hotels is looking for a Banqueting Waiter to deliver friendly, fast and efficient food and beverage service during conferences and other function events. You will be part of a dedicated team that values dignity, integrity and a high level of guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests in conference and function areas.
• Set up and break down function spaces, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready.
• Maintain stock levels and replenish supplies as needed.
• Provide front‑of‑house support, greeting guests and handling enquiries.

Required profile

• Matric (high school) qualification.
• Hospitality qualification or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience as a Banqueting Waiter or similar role.
• Hands‑on problem‑solving attitude and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
• Honest, trustworthy and detail‑oriented.
• Presentable, well‑spoken and able to lead by example.
• Willingness to work shifts; relocation costs are the applicant’s responsibility.
