Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist – Training Post – Elgin

About the role

This is a training post for a Clinical Pharmacist at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin. You will start on Band 6 while completing required qualifications and competencies, progressing to Band 7 once they are achieved. The role offers a supportive learning environment within a vibrant community surrounded by the Moray Firth and the Highlands.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy input across acute medicine, general surgery and orthopaedics.
• Conduct medication reviews and support prescribing decisions.
• Develop and maintain a clinical portfolio towards Royal College of Pharmacy Advanced Portfolio.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care.
• Participate in pharmacy department initiatives and training sessions.

Required profile

• Full registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPC).
• Qualified pharmacist willing to undertake the training programme.
• Commitment to achieve the agreed qualifications and competencies within the stipulated timescale.
• Ability to work without weekends or on‑call duties.
