Backend Engineer (Python/FastAPI) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance APIs using Python and FastAPI. The role is fully remote and involves close collaboration with a senior distributed team to deliver reliable, scalable features across the stack.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services with Python and FastAPI.
• Build frontend components using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Integrate large language models (LLMs) and AI‑driven workflows into production.
• Optimize concurrency patterns, performance, and reliability of the platform.
• Write, tune, and debug SQL queries and support data modeling.
• Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and overall performance.
• Debug and resolve system issues to maintain stability.
• Produce clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience building frontend applications with React (Next.js and TypeScript preferred).
• Proficiency in Python backend development, especially with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and performance optimization.
• Experience writing and debugging SQL queries.
• Familiarity with APIs and service‑oriented architectures.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and clear communication.
• Ownership mindset and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
