Back End Developer – Spring Boot & Java

About the role

PathCare, a leading medical diagnostic services provider, is embarking on a major systems‑renewal project. We are looking for a passionate Back End Developer with strong Spring Boot and Java expertise to build scalable, secure backend services that support our end‑to‑end specimen journey.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Spring Boot.
• Design, build and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures and database structures.
• Create and maintain RESTful (and where required SOAP) APIs for internal and external integrations.
• Collaborate closely with frontend and mobile teams to deliver complete solutions.
• Write high‑quality, secure, reusable and well‑documented code following PathCare standards.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical support for existing applications.
• Provide accurate work estimates and ensure timely delivery of features.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date software design and architecture documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience in software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
• Innovative mindset and a proven track record of delivering high‑quality software.
