Back End Developer – AI‑Powered Network Management Platform

About the role

Taurine Technology is seeking a mid‑level to senior Back End Developer to join our Cape Town team. You will own critical components of Axon, our AI‑driven network management platform, turning massive telemetry streams into actionable insight and automated control.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑throughput telemetry ingestion pipelines under strict CPU, memory and disk constraints.
• Build resilient systems that operate reliably over unreliable links and offline devices in remote networks.
• Develop MCP integrations that enable autonomous agent actions while keeping operators informed.
• Create and maintain LLM‑based tooling for traffic classification, troubleshooting and policy enforcement.
• Implement new traffic‑intelligence features, including classification and anomaly detection.

Required profile

• Mid‑level to senior experience in backend development.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for performance‑critical, resource‑constrained environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
