Automotive Bookings Clerk

About the role

We are looking for a motivated, customer‑focused Automotive Bookings Clerk to join the service department of our VW dealership in Hermanus. You will be the first point of contact for customers calling to schedule workshop appointments and will ensure a smooth, efficient booking process.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and manage all incoming calls related to workshop bookings.
• Create and update booking entries for customers' vehicles in the dealership system.
• Provide clear information about service options, availability, and estimated timelines.
• Coordinate with technicians and service advisors to confirm appointment slots.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings and follow up on any changes or cancellations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a service or dealership environment.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing setting.
• Detail‑oriented, positive attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
