Audit Supervisor

About the role

The Audit Supervisor position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Bedfordview. You will lead audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring that financial statements, working papers and reports meet all relevant standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee audit engagements, from planning to final reporting.
• Review financial statements, audit working papers and audit reports for compliance.
• Coordinate and guide audit teams, assign tasks, monitor progress and provide coaching.
• Perform risk assessments and analyse complex financial data.
• Resolve audit issues and communicate findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
• Maintain audit quality, follow firm methodologies and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong accounting and finance knowledge with practical experience in accounting principles.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements and audit reports in line with applicable standards.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional certification (e.g., SAICA/SAIPA) is advantageous.
• Previous experience in external audit at a senior or supervisory level, including managing audit teams and engagements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High integrity, attention to detail and commitment to audit quality and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work on‑site in Bedfordview, manage multiple deadlines and collaborate in a team‑oriented environment.
